1:1 Embodiment Coaching

Break the procrastination cycle by getting out of your head and into your body

You’re fed up with feeling stuck.

You’re fed up with trying so hard but not seeing anything change.

You’re fed up with being the reliable, responsible one, who always does what she’s supposed to - but deep down you know you’re not living the life you really want to.

There’s something your heart wants. It could be writing a book, starting a business, or making a big life change. But no matter what you do, nothing seems to get you closer to it.

You’ve tried everything, all the tips and tricks that normally work for you.

You’ve created the habit trackers, and blocked your calendar, and maybe you’ve even tried a coaching programme or two. But nothing has made a real difference.

In fact, you’re on the brink of giving up. Part of you wants to just let go, and accept that it isn’t going to happen.

But a deeper part of you is telling you to give it just one more shot.

That’s that part that’s brought you here.

Because there is something you haven’t tried.

No one has ever taught you how to harness the wisdom of your body.

Until now.

Does this sound like you?

  • Every time you sit down to draft your business proposal your stomach starts churning, and before you know it you’ve cleaned the whole kitchen (while the Word document lies empty).

  • You’ve spent a year trying to make yourself “just sit down and write” on a Saturday morning. From time to time it works, and you’ve drafted a few chapters of a book. But you wish it didn’t have to feel so hard. And you’re worried that you secretly hate writing.

  • You’ve been talking about moving away for years. But no matter what you do it never seems to happen. You’ve done hours of research and even applied to a few opportunities. But in your heart you’re afraid it’s never going to happen, and you’ll be stuck here forever… Life just feels a bit grey.

What's really going on?

Let’s make one thing very clear:
You are not lazy.
You don’t just ‘need more discipline’.
And you definitely don’t need to make yourself try harder.

Procrastination isn’t a personal flaw that needs to be fixed. It’s a clue that our mind and our subconscious are out of sync.

We might say that we want to make a change in our life, or start taking some action. But if deep down one part of us isn’t on board with the plan then we’ll end up procrastinating.

This disconnect shows up in the body.

It’s the feeling of overwhelm that stops you from even starting. It’s the guilt we feel when we think about all the progress we haven’t made. It’s the sensation of feeling stuck and frozen when we’re staring at an empty Word document, confused about where to even start.

Our job isn’t to bulldoze through these feelings and force ourselves into action that we really don’t want to take.

Our job is to listen to the messages they’re telling us about what we need, and start unapologetically meeting those needs.

Sometimes that means shifting a belief. Sometimes that means doing things differently. And sometimes it means throwing your massive to-do list out the window and letting yourself dance in the rain.

Because once your thinking mind and your subconscious are no longer at war with one another, your energy starts moving very differently.

And this is when confusion turns into clarity, exhaustion turns into passion, and doubt turns into radical self belief.

From this place, taking bold, messy action in the direction of what you want feels like the most natural next step.

And procrastination melts away all by itself.

About me

I’m Sarah, I’m an embodiment coach and I’m passionate about helping women to break free from procrastination and build the life they really want, by getting out of their heads and into their bodies.

I spent years feeling like I was at the mercy of my busy, anxious mind. I was a straight A student, and top performing employee who was fantastic at doing everything I was “supposed” to do, but I had no idea how to build the life that I really wanted. For some reason I found it much easier to pour my attention into the work other people needed from me, than into the areas of my life I really cared about.

This finally shifted when I discovered embodiment work, and found real, tangible tools which allowed me to break out of my mind, discover peace in the present moment, and move through uncomfortable feelings which were keeping me stuck.

Now that I was no longer spending all my energy overthinking and avoiding hard emotions, I was able to take bigger risks, like quitting my job, travelling, starting a business and asking for what I really want in relationships.

I trained as a Feminine Embodiment Coach with the School of Embodied Arts, so that I could help other women to discover the wisdom of their bodies, move through what’s keeping them stuck and take action towards what they really want.

And I deeply believe that what our world needs more than ever is women who know how to make the impossible, possible.

Imagine...

  • Letting go of the guilt, shame and fear that pops up every time you think of all the plans and strategies you’ve abandoned, and forgiving yourself for not having it all figured out yet.

  • Taking concrete action every week towards your goal that leaves you feeling energised and optimistic.

  • Feeling relaxed and confident that everything is coming together - and actually having fun with the journey.

  • Knowing that you don’t have to work it all out by yourself, and (for once!) letting yourself be really supported.

How we can work together

Through 1:1 embodiment coaching sessions, and at-home practices, we’ll explore what happens inside you when you try to take action - from the churning stomach, to the racing thoughts, or urge to avoid the task completely.

Instead of forcing yourself through those reactions, you’ll learn how to understand and respond to them. Together, we’ll uncover what your procrastination has been trying to tell you, identify what you need to move forward and turn those insights into practical action towards the result you want.

There are two ways we can work together.

Noreen's Story

When Noreen started working with me, she had a PhD deadline looming but sitting down at her computer felt impossible. All her usual techniques for getting stuff done just weren’t working, and she knew that she needed help. She had reached the stage where she either had to do things differently, or give up all together. And she knew she didn’t want to give up.

Noreen was surprised to discover that the first stage of working with me didn’t involve forcing herself in front of her computer at all - it was all about connecting to her body, discovering what it needed and offering herself this through rest, play and nurturing. She started dancing in the mornings, and spending more time in her garden.

Gradually, she felt her energy start to return. She began writing again before her scheduled return to work date, and by using the practices we developed together, she was able to show up more often and more regularly. She started to genuinely believe that meeting her goal was possible.

Over the next three months, Noreen completed her PhD and submitted it two days before the deadline.

This was an incredible achievement. But it wasn’t her biggest takeaway. The biggest change was how she felt on the inside.

Noreen became a more confident and energised version of herself.

During one of our final sessions she remarked “How can it be that just a few months ago I barely had enough energy to write for an hour, yet now I can spend hours and hours drafting my chapters and still feel energised at the end of the day?”

Noreen not only handed in a PhD she was proud of, she became her own best friend in the process.

This is what she had to say:

"The time I spent with Sarah in the sessions was so worthwhile for me, it has connected me to myself in a way I hadn't known was possible. This has built self-confidence, a map to help me shift from stuckness to movement, a way of finding deep relaxation and peace of mind and useful, easy tools and techniques to draw on.

“Sarah's gentle, curious and empathetic manner during the sessions invoked calm, trust, openness and a willingness to see myself differently and to see my 'failings' (procrastination and so laziness) very differently. I now understand that the 'failings' arise when I refuse or forget to take time to notice what my body knows and is trying to tell me and help me understand.

“For me, this is an invaluable lesson that feels like a gift."

What Others Say

“I felt deeply held and supported as I navigated my blocks, my blindspots, and my crumbling all the way to my truth and liberation. Frequently Asked Questions

What happens during an embodiment coaching session?

We’ll use a mixture of meditation, conversation and guided embodiment exploration to help you to gain a different perspective on your challenges, and allow new solutions to emerge.

We won’t just talk about how you’ve been feeling. You’ll get in touch with those feelings in real time, discover what they are trying to tell you and allow them to shift and transform.

And once you start feeling differently, we’ll create an action plan that lets you put your new-found enthusiasm to use, and start taking real steps towards the change you want.

What if this doesn’t work for me?

It’s normal to be concerned about this, but so long as you are curious and open to trying something new it’s not something to worry about!

I once had a therapist tell me that I was someone who “thought my feelings rather than felt them”, and during my first embodiment session I realised that despite years of meditation and yoga, my connection to my body was almost non-existent. But once I started practising embodiment, things started to shift very quickly. I’ve never had a client leave our sessions without some level of new insight, and greater clarity on what action to take next.

No one can guarantee outcomes 100% (and a coach who does is likely exaggerating!), but I can guarantee that you will develop a deeper understanding of yourself through our work together. And that’s the foundation on which all change is built.

I’m worried I’ll procrastinate on doing the work?

Then you are in the right place my friend! Part of our work together will involve changing your relationship with procrastination so that it’s no longer something you fear or feel lost in the face of. Instead you’ll learn practical strategies to move yourself into a place where taking action feels simple and manageable.

During the ‘From Force to Flow: Break Free from Procrastination’ package you will receive at home practices to help you turn the insights you discover during our sessions into real action which makes a difference in your life. This isn’t about giving you a long list of homework or creating another set of tasks to feel guilty about. Each practice will be designed around you, your needs and what feels realistic within your life.

And even so, there’s a chance you will procrastinate on doing the work at some point! We’ll meet that without judgement and treat it as valuable information that can help us understand what you need next.

What happens after I book?

As soon as you book, you’ll receive a confirmation email which includes a zoom link, information to help you prepare for your session, and access to any additional resources that come with your package. Make sure to check your junk mail in case it ends up there.

If you do not receive your confirmation email within 1 hour, please email info@embodimentwithsarah.com and we’ll resolve this.

Who is this work for?

This work is primarily for women and non-binary people*, over the age of 18, who are fed up with feeling frozen and stuck in procrastination, and are ready to make a real change in their life. Occasionally I work with men, so if you identify as a man and feel drawn to this work, please do reach out!

As sessions take place through Zoom you can be based anywhere in the world, so long as you have access to a private space, a stable internet connection, and are available at times which align with UK time.

 * Trans, cis and non-gender conforming people all welcome

Who is this work not for?

This work might not be for you if…

  • You’ve recently gone through a significant trauma.

  • You are struggling with serious mental health problems and are not receiving the support of a medical professional.

Embodiment coaching works best when you are approaching it from a place of relative stability in your life. Mental health problems don’t automatically preclude you from working with me, but I do want to make sure that you have appropriate professional support. Whilst Feminine Embodiment Coaching is a trauma aware modality, I am not a trauma specialist and it is not appropriate for me to treat trauma or serious mental health conditions.

When do the sessions take place?

Sessions are available at a range of times which can be seen on the booking page. I am based in the UK. If none of the available times suit you feel free to email me and I’ll try to work out a time!

Where do the sessions take place?

Sessions take place on Zoom. Please ensure that you have access to a private space where you will not be disturbed and a stable internet connection. Embodiment coaching sessions often include an invitation to move your body or make sounds - it’s best to ensure that you are in a space where you have the privacy you need to feel comfortable.

What are your certifications?

I am a certified Feminine Embodiment Coach, an internationally recognised, professional training, run by the School of Embodied Arts.

I also hold professional membership of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists.
